In preparation for Pentecost, we will be focusing on two chants: the Magnificat (the song of Our Blessed Mother, enlivened by the Holy Spirit), and the Veni Creator Spiritus (the traditional Hymn to the Holy Spirit).
The Magnificat has a variety of melodies, so we will become familiar with how to read the different modes in order to be comfortable with whatever version that is placed in front of us.
